If you are reading this...

I want to say thank you first and foremost!  Welcome to Cocktails for Dinner.  This blog is a brand new venture that I have thought about for a long time before committing.  I would always see these perfectly crafted lifestyle blogs and be so inspired and motivated but also scared to death.  I’d get all pumped up to begin the process and then talk myself out of it because I felt that I could never measure up to all of the content already out there!  The truth?  I won’t be able to measure up to many of you inspirational ladies that have spent years on becoming an influencer and I wouldn’t try to take your place for the world!  You are the ones that I’ve followed for ages and I look up to you all.  Maybe I'll do a blog post in the future on some of my favorite bloggers! (Yes?)

I want to simply be me.

I’m Briana.  Pronunciation is like Briana from Savannah which is pretty fitting since that’s where I was born and raised (always a great conversation starter too).  People tend to get this wrong more times than not, so I mainly go by Bri to avoid the confusion!   While a part of my heart will always be in Georgia, I have called Charlotte, North Carolina my home for the past five and half years.  I have fallen in love with the Queen City since the day I moved!  I love the rooftops, the shopping, the restaurants, and the people I have met since making this my home.  I suppose everyone else does to since it’s grown SO MUCH since I moved in 2013.  It seems like we are all transplants here these days! I have an affinity for fashion, traveling, eating yummy food, and a great cocktail!  This blog may evolve into focusing on one of the above more so than the others, but I am going to fill this baby up with as much content as I possibly can and let you all tell me what you love!  Critique me.  Tell me it’s horrible and tell me if you think it’s great!  I hope you tell me you can relate.  My promise to you all is that I will be 100% real.  Life isn’t perfect.  I have bad hair days, bad skin days, bad clothes days, and days that just tick me off.  I have moments of weakness and drive to Burger King to order the largest Whopper possible with fries and a soda while sitting in my car hoping no one is looking at the ketchup on my chin (yes, this happens…often).  Don’t judge me!!  These days are the days that I typically have cocktails for dinner and have no shame about doing so! See what I did there?  So darn clever

Let’s have some fun.  Let’s be real.  Let’s pop some champagne, pour some wine from a bottle (or a box- Bota Box, anyone?), or make a fancy drink because life is crazy/unpredictable/hard/amazing.  I look forward to sharing with you all very soon.
